Weekly Shounen Jump’s biggest hitters had their panels at Jump Festa today, and what an incredible day it was overall. We’ve got tonnes of info to share with you guys over here on Otakukart, and we’ll be starting with One Piece, of course. Ever year, Eiichiro Oda reveals something nice at Jump Festa 2019 related to the manga, and of course, we also get new stuff about the anime.
This year, we got a PV for the 20th anniversary of One Piece, and I have to say that we have something incredible to look forward to already. The PV led us through Luffy’s journey so far, from East Blue to Whole Cake Island in the anime. The journey won’t be stopping here. Luffy will continue his journey, and the next stop after Whole Cake Island is, you guessed it, Wano Country!
Towards the end of the PV, we could see our first look at Luffy in Wano Country. Looking at it closely, it seems Luffy is at Okobore Town, and he’s ready to take on the Beasts Pirates. Luffy also carries a sword with him, making him a ‘samurai.’ He’s carrying the Nidai Kitetsu, to be specific and we have a lot of interesting stuff to look forward to in One Piece in 2019. Before Wano Country, we will go through the Reverie first.
However, we won’t be there for long. One Piece will wrap things up at the Reverie within ten episodes, and we’ll then move forward to Wano Country. The exact date for when Wano Country will begin is unknown, but we do know that it will begin sometime in 2019.
Are you excited for Wano country arc in 2019? Let me know in the comments section!
