Madosoft, the creative team behind the Hamidashi Creative visual novel, wrapped up their crowdfunding campaign on Campfire with an impressive 113,984,000 Yen (around US$778,000) in support. The campaign, which launched on June 30, achieved its 10 million Yen (about US$69,100) goal in an astounding five minutes.
This exciting venture aims to bring their imaginative world to life through an anime adaptation, created by Frontier Engine and Hayabusa Film, and directed by the experienced general director Hisayoshi Hirasawa (known for Rail Romanesque). Notably, Keiya Nakano, acclaimed for character design in AOKANA: Four Rhythm Across the Blue, is set to design the characters.
The project’s vision consists of 12 episodes, each spanning two minutes and 30 seconds, all slated for release in 2024. With its successful crowdfunding journey, Madosoft’s Hamidashi Creative is geared up to make a vibrant splash on the animation scene.
Sekai Project has launched the Hamidashi Creative game on PC through Steam in Simplified Chinese, with intentions to release an English version soon. Initially introduced by Madosoft in 2020, Hamidashi Creative made its debut on PC, Android, and iOS platforms. The game expanded its reach to PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch platforms in 2021 for gamers to enjoy the game on their favorite and preferred platform.

Hamidashi Creative: Everything to Know
HAMIDASHI CREATIVE, also known as “Hamikuri,” is an adventure game that debuted on September 25, 2020, developed by Madosoft. This 18+ game introduces players to a world of beauty and excitement through its route branching system, in contrast to its predecessor’s map selection approach.
Madosoft, known for titles like “Wagamama High Spec,” produced this game. The game was also released for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 platforms on June 24, 2021, via iMel. Also, ASMR voice content by the heroines is available for enthusiasts. Building on the success of the original, the sequel “Hamidashi Creative Totsu” was released on November 11, 2022.
The Plot
As June comes to a close and summer settles in, Tomohiro Izumi, a self-proclaimed introvert, finds himself in an unexpected twist. Chosen through an impromptu student council president lottery, Tomohiro’s luck lands him in the spotlight. Suddenly, his quiet corner of the classroom isn’t so quiet anymore.
As rumors swirl, he leans on his advisor to gather allies from classmates like Kano, underclassman Asumi, and even his elusive little sister Hiyori. Amidst the chaos, the former unreachable president, Shio, also enters the scene. Whether by fate or design, the stage is set for the extraordinary battles of the “Random Lottery Student Council President” to unfold!
The Cast
The cast of the Hamidashi Creative game includes Hitomi Yanagi voicing Hiyori Izumi, Hana Akino voicing Kano Tokiwa, Yukino Tsumugi voicing Asumi Nishiki and Miu Hamabe voicing Kamakura Shio.
Mojasubii, the director behind the game, intriguingly describes its theme as a fusion of “‘Trust school’ x ‘Creative'”. The project introduces characters who step into the shoes of Vtubers, a unique take according to Mojasubii. He shared his thoughts on this innovative concept, emphasizing the challenge of bridging the gap between a VTuber and an eroge heroine.
Mojasubii’s insights were shared during an interview with Tech Giant in September 2020. Reflecting on the recently released web trial version in the same month, the director expressed his satisfaction with the positive reception from Macintosh and smartphone users. The game seems to be striking a chord, both with users and within the Madosoft team.
With all the positive reception and reviews, it’s exciting to see what the Hamidashi Creative anime adaptation will bring. Although the episodes will be only a few minutes long, fans are still more than excited for its release.
