The official website for the second season of the Jujutsu Kaisen anime just dropped some exciting news. Yuko Sanpei is set to join the show’s cast as Ui Ui, the younger brother of Mei Mei. Fans can look forward to his debut in the upcoming episode scheduled for September 14.
This second season has been a hit since its premiere on July 6, airing on MBS, TBS, and 28 affiliated channels. For those of us outside Japan, Crunchyroll has got us covered with simultaneous streaming in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, and more. The second season will run for two cours, covering a continuous half-year period, and will adapt both the “Hidden Inventory / Premature Death” (“Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu”) arc and the “Shibuya Incident” arc from Gege Akutami’s original manga.
The “Hidden Inventory/Premature Death” arc is set to air from July 6 through August 3, followed by two compilation episodes on August 10 and 17. On August 31, the “Shibuya Incident” arc will begin.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 News
The second season of the anime was directed by Sunghoo Park but is now replaced by Shōta Goshozono. The new cast members for the sub include Riko Amanai, voiced by Anna Nagase, and Toji Fushiguro, voiced by Takehito Koyasu.
The English dub of Jujutsu Kaisen is directed by Suzy Goldish, with a few members returning. Satoru Gojo is voiced by Kaiji Tang, Suguru Geto is voiced by Lex Lang, Toji Fushiguro is voiced by Nicholas Roye, Shoko Ieiri is voiced by Ryan Bartley, and finally, Riko Amanai is voiced by Reba Buhr.
The opening theme song, Ao no Sumika (Blue House), is performed by Tatsuya Kitani, and the ending theme song, Akari (Lantern), is performed by Soushi Sakiyama.
The Plot of Season 2
The spring of 2006 was very eventful for the two most renowned jujutsu sorcerers, Gojo Satoru and Geto Suguru, when they were tasked with a crucial mission by Tengen, an important and immortal figure in the jujutsu community.
Their first task is to safeguard and erase the “Star Plasma Vessel,” Amanai Riko, a girl chosen to merge with Tengen, and if they fail to do so, then they can say their goodbyes to the jujutsu community. However, they are threatened by an assassin named Fushiguro, who is determined to assassinate the Star Plasma Vessel.
As events unfold, the secrets of Gojo and Geto’s pasts, two individuals who will later be known as the most powerful jujutsu sorcerer and the most malevolent curse user, respectively, are on the verge of revelation.
One of the most impactful elements of Jujutsu Kaisen is its untouchable reach, attracting a large fanbase from across the globe. Not only did it popularize anime in the Western world, it got people obsessed with the series and its characters. Everywhere convention you step in, there are at least a hundred JJK cosplayers.
The compelling storyline, well-developed characters, and intense battles were beyond what viewers expected, and so, the series became a mind-blowing watch for them. Its existence and influence can be seen in various online platforms, social media, and fan art communities, where fans affectionately discuss and celebrate Jujutsu Kaisen.
