Lil Wayne agrees with the general opinion that the wax figure made in his likeness did an awful task of recreating his features.
On Monday, a picture of a statue that looked like Lil Wayne and was on display at the Hollywood Wax Museum in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, went viral on social media. The figure was intended to be a representation of Wayne, but many saw that it was not a close enough match.
Although the wax figure did a decent job of mimicking Wayne’s tattoos, it fell short in terms of facial features. An overwhelming number of people thought it looked more like Toosii in dreadlocks than the Young Money boss. Wayne expressed his feelings on Twitter, writing, “Sorry wax museum, but dat shit ain’t me! You tried tho, and I appreciate the effort”.
Just as they had been earlier in the week when they made fun of the odd-looking statue of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, people on social media were not as understanding as Lil Wayne. Dwayne Johnson went so far as to offer his personal assistance to the museum in Paris in order to correct the error.
Lil Wayne may or may not be willing to follow suit, but for now, it might be best to leave these matters in the capable hands of Madame Tussauds.
This week, Travis Barker became one of the famous people who own wax figures. On Sunday, the Blink-182 drummer gave a sneak peek at his wax replica at Madame Tussauds in Las Vegas.
