Riley Hawk and Frances Bean Cobain are married! They got a marriage license in San Diego County the month before their wedding, according to TMZ. Riley Hawk’s father and a world-class skateboarder, Tony Hawk, provided confirmation of this information to PEOPLE through his representative.
The marriage certificate, which TMZ was able to obtain, indicates that the couple wed on October 7. The R.E.M. frontman Michael Stipe, who is also Frances Bean Cobain’s godfather, performed the ceremony.
The 31-year-old Frances Bean, who is the daughter of the late Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love, revealed her relationship with Riley, a 30-year-old professional skateboarder, to the public last year.
