Popular actor Mark Harmon has recently recalled a sweet memory and revealed how he landed his first date with ladylove, Pam Dawber. As the two have been married for more than three decades, the actor revealed how he made a rather cold call to the Mork and Mindy star. He did that after a friend played Cupid and suggested introducing the two during a group date.
Harmon went on to recall how, after he got the number, he called and got an answering machine, and that is when he started to leave a message as he said that the two do not have to go out at all and that they could just get a cup of coffee or something.
The situation surely played in Harmon’s favor as Pam monitored, and she later picked up. They went out that night yourself and have been together ever since. The Emmy nominee actor recalled how he married Pam Dawber just one year to the day after their first date.
Pam Dawber opened up about her family in an early interview, saying, that she thinks two people cannot work all the time in show business and stay married. The actress explained that she did everything that one can do in this business, and then she had children, and that is when she decided that she was not going to chase the fame thing.

Mark Harmon and Pam Dawber tied the knot in a beautiful wedding ceremony in the chapel of the actor’s alma mater, which is the Harvard-Westlake School, in 1987. When asked what is the secret to a long-lasting marriage, Mark Harmon explained that there is no such secret and that the two got to laugh, and talk, and communicate.
The NCIS actor further added that they share many things and that they are really different. The pair have managed to keep their relationship away from the media limelight while setting some major couple goals for now!

In a recent interview, Harmon explained that he left the show and did not retire while adding that he always thought one can learn from history as things tend to repeat themselves.
