We saw previously that at the Alaves Guild, the branch manager was definitely competent. Not only is he the first to become a branch manager at such a young age, but he is also exceptionally smart and has very good instincts. But it was hard to believe that he was working overtime, something he had not done in the last few years.
Looks like something did happen. Alaves Guild was surely not a normal adventurer’s guild. They were backed by the Tulcan Empire. The Dukes and the Imperial Family meant nothing to the Alaves Guild.
They were now very curious about how Toliso annihilated the Pentanil Guild and why he was after the funds of the Forbidden Drugs of all things. Toliso then tells the Alaves Guild members that Duke Asenble and Duke Malone gave him the orders and that he was doing as he was told.
The Alaves Guild then understands that the Dukes are up to something. The higher-ups, the Tulcan Empire, had no intentions of killing Dietrich, who was the puppet. They could have just left him alone and kept using him. But, the Duke’s family got involved in the midst of things.
As a result, the Dietrich died. In simple terms, the Duke family and maybe even the Kingdom are preparing to go against the Tulcan Empire right now. The Branch Manager did not know that the person he was monitoring was the secret corp of the Malone Family.
While the mana users are categorized into swordsmen or mages, people who specialize in assassinations, like the Bentamon of the Pentanil guild, use something like a dagger.
The world refers to such people as either assassins or cleaners. Noble families will have private soldiers like normal swordsmen or mages, but they will also have a separate cleaner team. A Duke family is the same as well.
