Glen is removed from his party by his members. His team leader tells him that he kept Glen because of his past successes, but now that they have found a replacement swordsman, Glen is no longer required.
The Adventurer Party that Glen belonged to removed Glen as soon as the leader got promoted to the B-rank. Another reason why the team members did not feel bad about removing Glen was because there were a lot of rumors about Glen.
There were rumors that Glen was the best swordsman in the world, but there were also rumors that he indulged heavily in brothels and that he had slept around with the town girls. No matter where the team was, there was always heat about Glen’s matter.
Glen leaves, but before he leaves, he tells the newcomer that the party is full of problems and that Routh, the newcomer, should take care of himself. Well, leaving was the right decision for Glen. He had known his team members since his childhood and had been adventuring for three years.
Glen decides to go home and promote himself to the A-rank using all the savings he has for himself. Though he knew that he was an A-rank himself, he had told the guild to keep it under wraps. Oh well, no use dwelling on it.
A few more days and Glen’s new life would begin. Come with us to see how Glen proceeds from here all alone. Will his home actually welcome him? Will he actually strive harder and thrive better than the others?
Recap
In the previous chapter of Outcast Adventurer’s Second Chance, we saw that the materials sent were all for Glen. All the materials are still in good condition, and that is because they were stored in the storage right after Garius used them to beat.
Glen then asks Rudger about how many more quests he needs to clear before he can become S-rank. Rudger is surprised because he did not expect Glen to want to be promoted. And that is because Glen had told him that he did not want to become S-rank because even being A-rank is noticeable enough.
Glen then asks Rudger if Garius become an S-rank. Well, Garius did have both the achievements and the ability so that he could pass the promotion test easily. However, Rudger suggests Glen asking the master about it.
Garius asks Glen if he has told Rudger about the incident. The thing is, Glen has only talked to Garius about that because he thought it would be a bother to tell Rudger and the others about it. Rudger then comes out and calls for Glen because the master wants to talk to them together.
Glen goes in and greets the Capital Branch Adventurer and Guild Master, Volg Balmunk. The Guild Master quickly gets to the point and asks Glen if or not he has made a contract with a fairy. The Master himself was a man with a lot of contracts with the fairies.
The Guild Master then tells Glen that he is having Glen’s new adventurer card made right now and that there is no need for any promotion test. Glen is just happy to hear and thanks his master before leaving.
