According to Page Six’s exclusive report, Britney Spears is not in the mood to make amends with her estranged father, Jamie Spears, despite his failing health and recent amputation of his leg.
A recent report claiming that the Princess of Pop is interested in mending her strained relationship with her disgraced father has been denied by a number of insiders. TMZ reported on Tuesday that sources stated that Britney, 42, has expressed her desire for Jamie, 71, and has occasionally thought of sending him money to help him.
The veracity of the latter assertion seems questionable, though, considering the ongoing legal battles between the Grammy winner and her father over the purported mismanagement of her funds during the conservatorship.
Britney Spears doesn’t plan to forgive her father
Jamie Spears should not be having financial problems, according to court documents, since he allegedly paid himself about $6 million over the course of 13 years for his conservatorship.
Britney wrote about her father’s apparent belief that she was “put on the earth for no other reason than to help their cash flow” in her best-selling memoir, “The Woman in Me.”
The “Overprotected” singer reportedly doesn’t plan to forgive her father for the mistreatment and trauma she claims he inflicted. In addition to their financial disagreements, Britney also criticized Jamie in her book for allegedly limiting her diet to canned vegetables and chicken for two years, as well as for making disparaging remarks about her appearance.
She further claimed that in 2014, her “awful” father had coerced her into a rehab facility with “crack and heroin addicts.”
Britney Spears made a significant court testimony
In her book, Britney likened Jamie to a cult leader and described how her family began to treat her as though she was “beholden to him.”
The “Oops!… I Did It Again” singer voiced her dissatisfaction online prior to the book’s October 24 release. She claimed that Jamie’s “slave treatment program” had transformed her life and that she wanted to give him a “SPECIAL HAPPY f–k you” on Instagram in November 2022.
Britney’s substantial testimony in court in June 2021 about her father’s alleged abuse played a part in the conservatorship’s termination.
An insider emphasized that Britney’s recent birthday celebration with her mother, Lynne Spears, is not indicative of any progress with her father. Even with a full reconciliation with Lynne—who is still very much a work in progress—the future of a relationship with Jamie is not always assured.
Britney Spears is holding a hope for reunion
According to TMZ, Jamie Spears, who claims he has no resentment and would prefer nothing more, is reportedly holding out hope for a reunion with his well-known daughter. However, he declined to give a statement when asked by Page Six. An insider claims that Jamie recently needed to have his leg amputated because of complications from a knee replacement that led to a dangerous infection.
According to an exclusive October Page Six story, the father of three was admitted to and released from hospitals, including one that treated patients with infectious diseases.
The requests for comments from Page Six have not received a prompt response from Britney’s representatives.

Britney provides fresh information about her relationship with her father and the conservatorship in a passage from her memoir that was only made available to PEOPLE.
“For the past fifteen years, and even in the early stages of my career, I was silent while others told my story and spoke for me,” Britney said in an email exchange with PEOPLE. “Having emerged from my conservatorship, I am now liberated to share my story without facing repercussions from those who controlled my life.”
