Chappell Roan recently confronted a photographer on the red carpet for Olivia Rodrigo’s “Guts World Tour” premiere, demanding an apology.
Roan accused the photographer of “being disrespectful to me at the Grammys” and claimed they had “yelled” at her during a Grammy event, as seen in a video of the confrontation circulating online.
In the footage, Roan is heard insisting on an apology, saying she “deserve[s] an apology for that” and, “You need to apologize to me.”
The photographer appears silent initially, but Roan continues pressing until someone assisting her on the red carpet gently pulls her away.
Earlier this year, Roan had a similar altercation on the red carpet for the MTV Video Music Awards.
A video captured showing her responding to a photographer who yelled, “Shut the f*** up,” by replying, “You shut the f*** up.”
As of this article’s publication, the identity of the photographer involved in the most recent confrontation remains unconfirmed.
Roan attended the Rodrigo premiere on Friday amid a packed festival schedule. Recently, she has opened up about the “overwhelming” emotions tied to her rapid rise to fame, which has skyrocketed over the past year.
“I feel pressures to prioritize a lot of things right now, and I need a few days to prioritize my health,” Roan stated in a message she shared in late September after canceling a couple of appearances.
“I want to be present when I perform and give the best shows possible. Thank you for understanding. Be back soon xox.”
