A$AP Relli is speaking out. Just two days after A$AP Rocky (real name Rakim Mayers) was acquitted of two felony assault charges involving a deadly weapon—stemming from a 2021 incident where Relli claimed Rocky fired a real gun at him—the rapper (real name Terell Ephron) shared his thoughts on the outcome.
“Gossiping is a form of entertainment for people who have no meaningful goals or purpose in life,” Relli wrote on his Instagram Stories on Feb. 20. “Hate me, bring shame to my name, say bad things about me, I don’t care.”
The former A$AP Mob member continued, “Your existence doesn’t add any value in my life.”
Relli’s remarks followed a strong statement from Rocky’s attorney, Joe Tacopina, who labeled him “an angry pathological liar” and accused him of repeatedly committing perjury during the trial.
Meanwhile, Rocky reacted with relief upon hearing the Feb. 18 verdict, immediately stepping into the courtroom gallery to embrace his girlfriend, Rihanna, and other loved ones. As the jurors exited, he expressed his gratitude, saying, “Thank y’all for saving my life.”
Reflecting on the legal battle, Rocky described the experience as overwhelming. “This whole experience has been crazy for the past 4 years,” he told reporters outside the courthouse, according to Time. “I’m thankful and it’s blessed to be here right now to be a free man talking to y’all.”
As for Rihanna—who shares two children, RZA Athleston, 2, and Riot Rose, 18 months, with the “F–kin’ Problems” artist—she took to social media to express her emotions.
“THE GLORY BELONGS TO GOD AND GOD ALONE!” the “Love on the Brain” singer wrote on her Instagram Story on Feb. 18. “THANKFUL, HUMBLED BY HIS MERCY!”
The Fenty Beauty mogul has previously been candid about the deep significance Rocky and their children hold in her life.
“They bring purpose to every aspect of my life,” she told in April. “Motherhood, wifehood-ish—I love it. I love to be a homemaker. I just like to be exciting and celebrate things. I’m trying to build new traditions for our little family that we built.”
