Western Bulldogs forward Aiden O’Driscoll has announced his retirement from the AFL, effective immediately, citing medical reasons.
Aiden sustained a significant head injury during a preseason training session in January, prompting extensive clinical assessments and consultations.
Following advice from an Independent Medical Concussion Panel, Aiden O’Driscoll has been advised to retire from contact sports to safeguard his long-term health and wellbeing.
Despite being drafted at Pick 55 in the 2023 National Draft, Aiden has not yet had the opportunity to play an AFL game.
During this challenging period, the Club pledges to provide Aiden and his family with all the necessary support.
