ABC claims that placing all of the rejected and unsuccessful cast members from past seasons of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette in a tropical paradise and allowing them to mingle and hook up has worked well.
Because of this, Bachelor in Paradise Season 9 continues to provide all the drama, sass, glamour, and another opportunity to find love for this group of fun bachelors and bachelorettes who haven’t had any luck thus far.
This season sees us all staring at triangles and even rectangles where boys and girls compete for one another’s attention, passion, and sex appeal. From self-eliminations and hot and sexy exchanges—possibly more than they show on camera—to flings, rejections, rebounds, and the like,
Increasingly, single people arrive on the property with the intention of disrupting the pre-existing relationships and dynamics by bringing along their date cards. Hearts are broken, roses are constantly given, and the intense tropical heat fuels the passion. What happened last week, then?
Recap
We resume our chat about Aaron B. with Charity and Eliza, exactly where we left off in the previous episode. Charity tells how one of Aaron B.’s ex-girlfriends messaged her frequently following her season. About Aaron B., Charity’s friends and family received a message from the same ex-girlfriend.
Although the specifics of the communications were not disclosed, it is implied that Aaron B.’s ex-girlfriend informed Charity that they were dating before the premiere of the show. Eliza is informed by Charity that although she believes it to be a “tricky situation,” she thinks Eliza and Aaron B. should be able to work things out.
Following her conversation with Eliza, Charity grabs Aaron B. and offers guidance. Charity heads off to the beach, and Aaron B. grabs Eliza for a conversation. Eliza says that although the situation is better now, she still wants to go to bed and discuss it further in the morning.
Kat intends to spend the rest of the evening making out with John Henry in the hopes of having a good beach makeout session. Many others on the beach believe Kat is just interested in the rose, and John Henry appears to be her current target. Olivia is the most upset since she was partnered with John Henry. Kat, according to Olivia, is “grasping at straws.” Kat claims that this week is actually her birthday and that she is getting her desire fulfilled.
Three of the eleven women—there are eight men and eleven women—will be going home this week because the males have the roses. Jesse informs the men and women that Sam—the American Sam, not the Canadian Sam—has finally proposed to kick off the cocktail party!
Besides, everyone on the beach looks like they’re covered in glitter again, and Jess must have packed a ton of body glitter bottles in her suitcase. A lot of the couples are talking seriously before the third rose ceremony.
Even though we saw Tyler make out with Jess last week, Tyler and Mercedes appear to be a good match. Although Mercedes mentions how much she appreciates Tyler’s honesty, it’s unclear if he ever told her about his kiss with Jess.
Jess, who was once in a romantic triangle, says she wants to go after Blake more, and it seems like he feels the same way. Tanner, meanwhile, has emerged as Paradise’s latest bachelor. He claims that his kiss with Davia was the sexiest he has ever experienced. They kiss after he speaks to Genevie. Moreover, Rachel claims that Tanner and she share the same boat as the outliers on the beach, and they even share a kiss.
