Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher had a notable Father’s Day weekend after experiencing a fire at their Nashville home.
“There was a fire on the property on Sunday night, which was quickly contained,” Underwood’s representative told *Us Weekly* on Monday, June 17. “There was no damage to the main residence, and the family and their pets were unharmed.”
Williamson County Fire/Rescue reported that the local fire department was called to a fire alarm at approximately 9:42 p.m. on Father’s Day. The situation was later upgraded to a structure fire.
“Crews from all eight of our stations responded,” officials stated on X on Sunday, June 16.
“Fairview Fire provided a tanker and crew as well. Upon arrival, we found flames coming from the garage. Crews managed to quickly extinguish the fire to prevent it from spreading to the house.”
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and there are no reported injuries. WKRN reported that investigators are examining whether the fire was caused by a UTV parked near the garage.
It is not clear if the fire impacted Underwood’s Father’s Day plans, but the “Before He Cheats” singer shared a glimpse of her weekend on Instagram Stories before the incident, posting a photo with two of her animals.
“Sheep selfie with Gray and Gary…” Underwood, 43, wrote on Sunday before the fire occurred.
Despite her high-profile career, including a Las Vegas residency at Resorts World, Underwood maintains that her family life in Tennessee with her sons Isaiah, 9, and Jacob, 5, is quite ordinary.
“We’re just really normal people and I’m so thankful that we are,” she told in March 2020.
“My kids are my alarm. My husband and I are trying this thing where we get up earlier so we can have a little quiet time before the kids wake up. Then we have breakfast together, and it’s all about the mad dash out the door.”
Although she uses a calendar to stay organized, Underwood acknowledges that unexpected events can arise. She always makes time for her workouts, which she considers an essential part of maintaining balance.
“I’m a health nerd. It’s a passion,” she said. “I don’t pamper myself often — and maybe I should be a little better at that — but working out is my way of pampering myself. It helps me keep balance.”
