Some fans have voiced concerns about Dave Bautista after recent red carpet photos of the former professional wrestler surfaced.
The 55-year-old actor has had a busy 2024, starting with his role in the blockbuster Dune: Part Two.
He also starred in two September releases: The Killer’s Game, an action-packed film about a hitman, and The Last Showgirl, a drama featuring Pamela Anderson and Jamie Lee Curtis.
It was during The Last Showgirl premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on Friday, September 6, that the photos in question were taken.
Bautista appeared on the red carpet wearing a black suit over a low-neck black shirt, revealing some of the tattoos on his upper chest.
His look was completed with shiny black shoes, a pair of black sunglasses, and a few strands of pearls around his neck.
After Bautista posted pictures of his red carpet appearance on social media, many fans praised his look. “Handsome as ever,” one commented, while another said, “Looking good, my brother.” A third fan echoed, “He looks amazing!”
However, some fans noticed a difference in his physique, speculating that Bautista had slimmed down.
Some wondered if he was losing weight for a role, while others suggested it could be due to his diet or the result of his years in Hollywood.
“Why do you look so small?” one person asked on X, formerly Twitter, in response to a post comparing Bautista’s muscular wrestling days with his more recent, leaner look. Another X user captioned the side-by-side photos with, “Question: what happened to Dave Bautista?”
In defense of the actor, one fan replied, “He got older but he’s still in great shape, just more thin.” They added, “I saw him in person, the man is still a beast.”
