Musician Dave Grohl has revealed some personal news about his family.
The Foo Fighters frontman announced that he has recently become a father again. In a statement shared on his Instagram page on Tuesday, Grohl disclosed that his new baby daughter was born “outside” of his marriage to his wife, Jordyn Blum.
“I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage,” Grohl wrote. “I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her.”
He continued, “I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.
We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.”
A representative for Grohl did not provide any additional comment beyond what was shared in the Instagram post.
Grohl has been married to Blum, a director, since 2003. The couple has three daughters together: Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10.
In his post, Grohl did not share any details about the mother of his new daughter.
Grohl and Blum have largely kept their relationship and family life private, though they occasionally make public appearances together on red carpets.
Most recently, the couple was spotted attending Wimbledon in London in July, during the European leg of the Foo Fighters’ tour.
