The main singer of E-Town Concrete and music executive/manager Anthony Martini is currently involved in a complex court case involving a failed real estate deal.
Martini had invested a substantial sum of one million dollars in Patterson, New Jersey’s originally prosperous housing building. Unfortunately, allegations of fraudulent behavior have surfaced, accusing Cesar Pia, also known as “FlippingNJ,” and his wife.
The incident also involves DJ Envy, who is well known for anchoring the widely distributed iHeartRadio program “The Breakfast Club,” and who had been promoting these partnerships.
Martini’s attorney has filed a lawsuit, claiming that the investment is similar to a potential Ponzi scheme where money from one investor is used to pay off obligations of other investors.
During an interview with NBC 4 New York, Martini mentioned his one million dollar loss. According to reports, more than $40 million has reportedly been invested in the Pias and their linked businesses.
What is going on regarding the fraud?
In reaction, DJ Envy has filed a defamation case against TonytheCloser, an influencer who allegedly keeps an eye out for real estate frauds, for slander. The defense team for Envy contends that he is also a victim in this case because he lost half a million dollars on an investment related to a vacant school in Patterson, New Jersey.
There are still lawsuits being filed, and the judicial actions surrounding this alleged real estate fraud are ongoing. A bankruptcy court trustee has been appointed to administer some of Pia’s properties in order to address the problem and provide compensation to people who assert they are victims.
The proceeds from the sale of any liquidable assets could be utilized to compensate the investors who suffered losses.

Martini worked as a partner at Jingle Punks Music, a business that specialized in writing music for video games, television, and movies.
A number of media, including Billboard, Wired, and Variety, featured Jingle Punks Music, which helped the band to become well-known. Even Business Week acknowledged it as “one of the most promising startups in America”.
Martini also had a huge impact as the lead singer and co-founder of the now-defunct New Jersey-based hardcore band E-Town Concrete. E-Town Concrete completed significant tours in the US, Japan, Canada, Europe, and the UK while selling more than 120,000 albums worldwide. They even took part in Ozzy Osbourne’s 2000 summer Ozzfest tour, and MTV and Fuse aired their music videos.
Despite being on hiatus for a while, E-Town Concrete came back together for two sold-out performances at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, New Jersey, on February 20, 2009, and has since performed there annually. Martini has a younger sibling and is a native of Elizabeth, New Jersey. It wasn’t until he was in his early twenties that he finally met his father.
His compositions frequently draw inspiration from his memories of growing up without a father figure and the important parental role his mother provided. His staunch political views become particularly apparent in E-Town’s later musical output.
Through their business Factory New, Martini and Brandon Le presented the AI rapper FN Meka in 2019. Martini expressed his opinion that the conventional approach of talent scouting is antiquated and unreliable.
Due to the AI rapper’s representation with a black skin tone and an appearance that some felt reinforced prejudices, FN Meka’s signing with Capitol Records in 2022 sparked issues and disputes.
