“Euphoria” is set to resume production. Fans of the HBO drama have been eagerly anticipating the third season of the series, which is created, written, directed, and executive produced by Sam Levinson and stars Emmy winner Zendaya. Filming for the new season is expected to commence soon.
Francesca Orsi, executive vice president of HBO programming and head of HBO drama series and films, expressed her excitement in a statement to Entertainment Weekly:
“I am thrilled that we are ready to begin production on ‘Euphoria’ in January. We could not be happier with our creative partnership with Sam and this incredible cast. We look forward to bringing this new season of ‘Euphoria’ to life for the fans.”
Producers had announced last year that new episodes would not be available until 2025.
The show has significantly boosted the careers of several of its stars, including Zendaya, Colman Domingo, Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, and Storm Reid.
According to HBO, the Season 2 premiere of “Euphoria” became “the most viewed episode of an HBO series ever on HBO Max,” with over 14 million viewers across various platforms.
The series also faced a somber moment with the passing of Angus Cloud, who was beloved for his role as the sweet-natured drug dealer Fezco. He died last year at the age of 25.
