Gracie McGraw, the daughter of renowned country music stars Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, has publicly come out as queer in celebration of Pride Month. The 28-year-old made the announcement on June 2 through her Instagram Stories.
She shared a colorful and spirited post reading, “Everyone get more gay now,” followed by an enthusiastic “Happy Freaking Pride” message, where she proudly declared, “I love being queer.” This marks the first time Gracie has openly discussed her sexuality with the public.
Gracie Honors Pride’s Roots While Embracing Identity and Family’s History of Support
Alongside her coming out announcement, Gracie used her platform to highlight the roots of Pride, sharing a graphic that repeatedly emphasized, “Pride began as a riot led by Black & Brown trans activists.”
By doing so, she not only celebrated her own identity but also educated her followers on the historical significance and activism at the core of Pride Month. Her posts resonated as both personal and political, signaling her solidarity with the broader LGBTQ+ community.

Though neither Tim McGraw nor Faith Hill has publicly responded to Gracie’s announcement, Faith Hill has shown support for the LGBTQ+ community in the past.
Notably, she voiced encouragement when country artist Chely Wright came out as a lesbian in 2010. This history suggests a family environment likely supportive of individuality and acceptance. Gracie’s decision to come out during Pride Month aligns with a tradition of visibility and empowerment, further underscoring her courage and authenticity.
A Proud Daughter Supported by Loving Parents Through Her Journey and Identity
Gracie shares a close bond with her family, who have consistently expressed love and pride in her accomplishments. Just a month before her announcement, Tim McGraw celebrated her 28th birthday with a heartfelt Instagram post, calling her “a light in this world” and praising her heart, talent, and strength.
The McGraw-Hill family often appears together at public events, and both parents were present to support Gracie during her performance at Carnegie Hall in April, showcasing their commitment and admiration for their daughter’s journey.
As the eldest of three daughters, with sisters Maggie, 26, and Audrey, 23, Gracie has carved her own path as an actress and performer based in Los Angeles.
Her father has frequently spoken with pride about her independence and fearlessness in expressing herself. Coming out as queer adds another layer to her evolving identity and public presence, highlighting her as not only a talented artist but also a confident individual committed to living her truth.
