A 19-year-old actress from a hit Hallmark Channel series, Mamie Laverock, is reportedly on life support after falling from a balcony in a Vancouver hospital. She had been in intensive care for two weeks prior to the fall, according to a GoFundMe page set up by her parents.
“We are deeply saddened to report that on May 26th, Mamie, who has been in intensive treatment for the past two weeks, was escorted out of a secure unit of the hospital and taken up to a balcony walkway from which she fell five stories.
She sustained life threatening injuries, has undergone multiple extensive surgeries, and is currently on life support,” the GoFundMe page reads.
“We are all devastated, in shock, at this intensely difficult time.”
Mamie Laverock, known for her role in Hallmark’s ‘When Calls the Heart,’ experienced a medical emergency in Winnipeg on May 11 and was subsequently transferred to a Vancouver hospital.
Her acting credits also include roles in ‘This Means War,’ ‘A Series of Unfortunate Events,’ and ‘The Hollow Child.’
Laverock’s fans and fellow actors have shown their support on social media, with ‘When Calls the Heart’ co-star Johannah Newmarch writing on X:
“I love this family, my heart is broken. A devastating time for all who care for Mamie. Please help if you can. They need all the support they can get to make it through this.”
