The Series Hitori no Shita The Outcast is an adaptation of the Chinese webcomic titled Yi Ren Zhi Xia (Under One Person) by Dong Man Tang and illustrated by Mi Er( 米二), The tv show adaptation of the comic was first released back in 2016 and so far with 2 successful seasons. The 3rd season was released on 24th April 2020. The show follows the story of Chou Soran a normal college student who had a very normal upbringing until a terrible incident takes place in a small village while attending his grandfather’s funeral. While strolling into the cemetery to give a visit to his late grandfather, Soran was attacked by a group of zombies until a mysterious girl using a knife appears to save his life and leads him to a showdown with the zombies. After successfully defending themselves against the zombies the further confrontation with the knife-wielding girl (Fu Hōhō) Soran’s life starts to change as he trains his martial arts technique taught by his grandfather, the technique is known as Kitaigen, that is being solicited after by various martial arts groups with secret motives. The story reflects Soran’s effort to find out his grandfather’s real past and his about his grandfather’s association with Fu Hōhō.
