Laid-Back Camp’s Promo Video Reveals Theme Song Artists
The official website for the Laid-Back Camp franchise revealed exciting details about Yurukyan△ Season 3, the upcoming anime season adapted from Afro’s manga. A teaser promotional video was revealed, along with the announcement of the theme song artists.
A new “complete version” of the anime’s visual was also unveiled. The third season will premiere in 2024. The musical unit Kiminone will perform the ending theme song, while Asaka returns to perform the opening theme song.
The anime production for the series is undergoing significant changes, with C-Station handing over the roles to 8-Bit. Shin Tosaka is the new director, while Masafumi Sugiura handles the series composition.
Hisanori Hashimoto, known for key animation work on “Attack on Titan” and “Guilty Crown,” joins as the character designer. Akiyuki Tateyama returns as the composer, and Takeshi Takadera is back as the sound director.
The Premise
The story introduces us to Rin Shima, a solo camper who finds solace and tranquility in the solitude of nature, and Nadeshiko Kagamihara, an outgoing and energetic girl who stumbles upon the world of camping by chance.
Their paths cross, and they along with Rin, Nadeshiko, and their classmates Chiaki Ōgaki and Aoi Inuyama travel around Japan, camping together and enjoying their day-to-day lives.
Afro launched the manga in Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara Forward magazine in 2015 before moving it to Houbunsha’s Comic Fuz manga website in 2019. In March 2018, Yen Press began releasing the manga in English. This series also made its way to the small screen with an anime adaptation premiering in January 2018.
Crunchyroll streamed the 12-episode series as it aired and even provided an English dub for the first season. The second season of the anime continued the series in January 2021. An anime film based on the manga opening in July 2022, was later available for streaming on Crunchyroll in November 2022.
The franchise then released a live-action series adaptation that debuted in January 2019. Gaming enthusiasts also got their share of the camping fun, with various video games such as “Yurucamp Have a Nice Day!” and VR experiences like “Laid-Back Camp – Virtual – Lake Motosu” and “Laid-Back Camp – Virtual – Fumoto Campsite.”
The franchise expanded further with the release of the first smartphone game, “Laid-Back Camp All-in-one!!,” in June, giving fans even more ways to immerse themselves in the world of camping.
