Lim Young Min, former member of the popular K-pop group AB6IX, has officially parted ways with his longtime agency BRANDNEW MUSIC.
On June 26, the agency’s sublabel BRANDNEW-A released an official statement confirming the conclusion of their exclusive contract with the artist.
The statement expressed gratitude to fans for their continuous support over the years and noted that the decision to part ways was mutual after careful discussions about Lim Young Min’s future career path.

Lim Young Min first rose to prominence through his participation in Mnet’s “Produce 101 Season 2” in 2017.
Following this, he debuted as part of the duo MXM alongside Kim Dong Hyun and later re-debuted as a member of AB6IX in May 2019.
However, in June 2020, he left the group amid controversy following a DUI incident.
After completing his mandatory military service in May 2022, Lim Young Min resumed his solo career, releasing his first EP titled “ROOM” in 2023, marking a fresh start as a solo artist.
The end of Lim Young Min’s contract with BRANDNEW MUSIC marks a new chapter for the artist, who is likely to explore new opportunities and directions in his career.
