The Bear star Molly Gordon is set to write, direct, and lead the upcoming A24 comedy, Peaked.
According to the official synopsis, the film will follow “the two girls who traumatized you in high school as they attempt to relive their glory days at their 10-year reunion.” Gordon is co-writing the screenplay with Allie Levitan, a recent addition to Saturday Night Live’s writing team.
Production Details
Peaked is scheduled to begin filming later this year, with A24 backing and financing the project. Alongside Gordon and A24, David Hinojosa and Zach Nutman are producing the film under their 2AM banner.
Levitan, in addition to co-writing, will also serve as an executive producer. Topic Studios, which previously collaborated with Gordon on Theater Camp, is set to co-finance the project.
