Kang Hoon is reportedly in talks to join Shin Hye Sun and Lee Jin Wook in an upcoming drama! According to STARNEWS on May 3, Kang Hoon has been offered a lead role in ENA’s upcoming drama “To My Haeri” (literal title).
In reaction to the news, a representative from Kang Hoon’s agency npioe Entertainment stated,
“Kang Hoon is currently reviewing the offer to star in ‘To My Haeri.'”
To My Haeri is an amazing healing romance drama centered around Joo Eun Ho, an announcer grappling with dissociative identity disorder (Haeri means dissociation in Korean) after losing her younger sibling and enduring a heartbreaking breakup with her longtime boyfriend, Hyun Oh.
Penned by Han Ga Ram, renowned for her previous works like “I’ll Go to You When the Weather is Nice” and “Han Yeo Reum’s Memory,” the drama has already secured Shin Hye Sun and Lee Jin Wook in prominent roles.
Kang Hoon is said to have been offered the character of announcer Kang Joo Yeon. Kang Joo Yeon, driven by his late brother’s aspirations, starts a journey to become an anchor.
Reserved and distant towards women due to his upbringing in all-boys schools and military academy, Kang Joo Yeon struggles to detail the social interactions with his female colleagues.
To My Haeri is slated to grace screens on ENA in the latter part of the year. Keep an eye out for further updates!
