Bad Boys 3 directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah are currently filming the Saudi blockbuster The Seven Dogs, an action-packed thriller starring Egyptian actors Karim Abdel-Aziz and Ahmed Ezz. The film centers on the fight against a dangerous new drug that is spreading across the Middle East.
The story for the $40 million project was conceived by Turki Al-Sheikh, chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, with the screenplay written by Mohamed El Dabbah. Al-Sheikh has previously ventured into screenwriting, having penned the Saudi TV series The Eight.
Abdel-Aziz and Ezz, who previously starred together in the period film Kira & El Gin—one of Egypt’s highest-grossing movies—reunite for this high-stakes thriller.
The Seven Dogs follows Interpol officer Khalid Al-Azzazi as he captures Ghali Abu Dawood, a top-ranking member of a secretive global crime syndicate known as 7 Dogs. However, a year later, the organization re-emerges, trafficking a new drug called Pink Lady across the Middle East.
With no other option, Khalid must form an uneasy alliance with Ghali, the only person with inside knowledge of the syndicate’s operations.
“Their uneasy alliance propels them on a high-stakes mission across multiple global cities as they strive to dismantle the organization and prevent the drug from flooding Arab streets,” according to the official synopsis.
The Seven Dogs will be the first film shot at the newly established Big Time Al-Hosn Studios in Riyadh, which will double as various international cities, including Mumbai and Shanghai.
Set for a late 2025 theatrical release, the film is produced by Sela, a company owned by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, which has been expanding its presence in the entertainment and sports industries.
