The official synopsis for The War of the Rohirrim sets the story 183 years before the events of the original Lord of the Rings trilogy. It centers on the fate of the House of Helm Hammerhand, the legendary King of Rohan.
Wulf, a cunning and vengeful Dunlending lord, launches a sudden attack to avenge his father’s death, forcing Helm and his people to make a desperate last stand at the Hornburg—a fortress that will later be known as Helm’s Deep.
In the midst of the siege, Helm’s daughter Héra must find the strength to lead the resistance against an enemy determined to annihilate them.
