The Shadow Galactica Arc (Spoilers)
Sailor Galaxia’s journey took a turn when she met Wiseman, who guided her to Sagittarius Zero Star, where she met Chaos. This starts the Shadow Galactica Empire, with the Galactica Palace acting as its headquarters at the heart of the Zero Star.
The empire embarked on a Milky Way campaign targeting worlds such as Mau, Mermaid, Kinmoku, Chuu, Cocoon, and Coronis to collect Sailor Crystals. Their ultimate motive was to overtake control of the Galaxy Cauldron, the celestial body governing the balance of life and death.
While neither Galaxia nor Chaos desired to share power, they silently agreed to work together until their mission was achieved.
Under Galaxia’s rule, several Sailor Guardians and other members were recruited into the empire. Sailor Phi and Sailor Chi were firmly loyal to Galaxia, on the other hand, Sailor Lethe and Sailor Mnemosyne joined out of survival, having witnessed the devastation Galaxia brought upon their worlds. Their loyalty was solely to living peaceful lives.
Earth became the next target for Shadow Galactica after Neo-Queen Serenity and King Endymion’s battle against Queen Nehelenia. Galaxia wished to manipulate Sailor Moon into destroying Chaos while acquiring the Sailor Crystals from others. Simultaneously, Chaos had his agenda involving Sailor Moon.
The Sailor Moon manga was one of the best-selling manga, with over 46 million copies sold, so there was no surprise when an anime adaptation was announced in 2014. A live-action adaptation, Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon, was released in 2003, and a second anime series called “Sailor Moon Crystal” followed in 2004.
The fourth season of the Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal anime was released as a duel part film adapting the Dream arc from the manga.
