Rapper Travis Scott remains in police custody following his arrest on Friday at a Paris hotel after an altercation with a security guard, French prosecutors reported on Saturday.
The Paris prosecutor’s office issued a statement confirming that the custody order for the 33-year-old rapper was extended on Friday night, though no additional details were provided..
Scott was arrested after police were called to the George V Hotel, where a man “nicknamed Travis Scott” was involved in an altercation with a security guard, according to an initial statement from the prosecutor’s office.
The hotel security guard had intervened in a dispute between the rapper and his bodyguard.
Following Friday’s arrest, a representative for Scott told that they were “in direct communication with the local Parisian authorities to swiftly resolve this matter and will provide updates when appropriate.”
Scott was in Paris for the Olympics, attending the United States’ men’s basketball semifinal against Serbia on Thursday night.

Scott, one of hip hop’s biggest stars, whose birth name is Jacques Webster, has over 100 songs that have made the Billboard Hot 100.
He has also released four singles that have topped the chart: “Sicko Mode,” “Highest in the Room,” “The Scotts,” and “Franchise.” He shares two children with his former girlfriend, media personality, and businesswoman Kylie Jenner.
In June, Scott was arrested in Miami Beach on misdemeanor charges of trespassing and public intoxication after officers reported finding him at the city’s marina, shouting obscenities at people on a yacht, and refusing their order to leave.
