A wave of excitement has hit the Bob’s Burgers fan community as the release date is coming close. While the release of season 14 of Bob’s Burgers is about to happen, the release of the next season, 15, has also been confirmed due to the popularity and demand it has been gaining.
The voice behind the antagonists, Jimmy Pesto Jay Johnston, has been fired and replaced by a new voice actor. They have replaced Jay Johnston with Eric Bauza, who is also very popular for his other roles as a voice actor in other famous movies or television shows.
Bob’s Burgers has secured its position among adult animation to date due to the delivery of a stellar voice cast and characters with a combination of a great on-screen story that has humor and deals with issues like cynicism instead of portraying lovely family issues with little humor.
Jimmy Pesto is an antagonist of the show; he’s seen as a rival of Bob’s Burgers in the show. Fans are also looking forward to their rivalry in the upcoming season, but just before the release of it, the change of the voice cast Pesto has been announced. Jay has been replaced by a new voice cast.
Presto is one of the crucial cast of the show, and bringing a change of his voice cast was a huge step to be taken as it could have caused a blow to the show. As Jay Johnston, the old voice cast of Pesto, was fired, Jimmy Pesto had to be recast with his new voice cast, Eric Bauza.
Why has Jay Johnston been fired?
Earlier in the season, Jay Johnston was in the voice cast of Jimmy Pesto, but after his participation and involvement in a tragic incident, he was banned from the show. It was decided that the voice cast would be replaced due to his infamous participation.
Jay Johnston witnessed participation and getting himself involved in the infamous events of 6 January 2021, when the U.S. capitol got stormed with the supporters of President Donald Trump.
According to Fox23, video footage was discovered that acted as a witness of Jay’s participation in the infamous event. In the footage, Johnston was witnessed pushing the officer and also helping out other rioters in attacking the guards of the Capitol entrance.
He was also holding a stolen police shield and passing it on to others as well. Actions were taken against the attempts and participation of Johnston’s. After his appearance at the court, he got stuck in the case of civil disorder and was released on a bond of $250,000.
Eric Bauza, the new voice cast of Jimmy Pesto
After the allegation and cases, the show, its network, and Fox had cut ties with Johnston, but no immediate or official announcements were made. Before the premiere of season 14, the news of Jay Johnston being replaced by Eric Bauza came out.
Eric Bauza has proven to be a stellar voice cast. His most known works include Thunderbolt Ross on Iron Man: Armored Adventures, Foop on The Fairly Odd Parents, Fozzie Bear on Muppets Babies, and Stimpy on Ren & Stimpy “Adult Party Cartoon.”
He is the current voice of many characters, including Tweety Bird, Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Woody Woodpecker, Pepe` Le Pew, Marvin the Martian, Dino, Lego Luke Skywalker, and Chris the Red Goobler on Solar Opposites.
Based on the pressure of the audience, a change of voice cast of Marshmallow has also been made in season 14. There was a little disruption in the smooth flow of the show, and the dynamic of characters has happened, but it was taken care of accordingly, and everything has gone well.
