Exciting news for Aardman animation fans: the renowned U.K. studio’s latest stop-motion feature, Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl, is set to make its global streaming debut on Netflix on January 3, 2025 (with the exception of the U.K. and Ireland, where it will be distributed).
Today, Netflix revealed the official teaser trailer and new key art for this inventive adventure, which sees our beloved claymation duo take on a feathered nemesis from their past.
Before its streaming release, Vengeance Most Fowl will hold its World Premiere at AFI FEST on October 27 and will have a limited Oscar-qualifying theatrical run later this year.
In this new installment, Gromit grows increasingly worried that Wallace is becoming overly reliant on his inventions.
His fears are confirmed when Wallace creates a “smart” gnome that seems to develop a mind of its own.
As it becomes clear that a mysterious figure from the past is orchestrating these events, Gromit must step up to confront sinister forces and save Wallace—before his master loses the ability to invent forever.
The voice cast includes Ben Whitehead, returning as Wallace; Peter Kay as Chief Inspector Albert Mackintosh (previously seen as a constable in Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit); Lauren Patel (Lloyd of the Flies, Everybody’s Talking about Jamie); Reece Shearsmith (Inside No. 9) as Norbot, the “smart gnome”; Diane Morgan (Cunk on Earth); Adjoa Andoh (Bridgerton); Muzz Khan (Brassic); and British Comedy Awards Lifetime Achievement honoree Lenny Henry.
Aardman’s four-time Academy Award-winning director Nick Park and Emmy Award-nominated Merlin Crossingham direct this comedic caper, which is based on a screenplay by Mark Burton, from an original story by Park and Burton. Richard Beek serves as the producer.
