The Great Canadian Baking Show has been filmed on the grounds of the Canadian Film Centre in Toronto. This is a baking show in which candidates are selected all across Canada, and it is aired in Canada under the title of The Great British Baking Show.
This show is also an adaptation of the U.K. series The Great British Bake Off. The first season of his show was first aired on November 1, 2017, followed by a new season each year, and the seventh season of the show premiered on CBC Television on October 1, 2023 (8:30 NT).
The show is produced by Proper Television in association with the CBC and Love Production. It is always filmed on the grounds of the Canadian Film Centre in Toronto. The first two seasons of the show were hosted by Dan Levy and Julian Chan, along with French-born Canadian chef Bruno Feldeisen and Australian pastry chef Rochelle Adonis as judges. The judges didn’t remain absolutely the same but kept changing.
The third season was hosted by Aurora Browne and Carolyn Taylor, with Feldeisen returning as chef. The new judge who joined in was Canadian Chef Kyla Kennaley. Since the fourth season, the hosts were comedians and Second City alumni Ann Pornel and Alane Shane Lewis.

Similar to the previous seasons, the ten amateur bakers will compete among each other for eight weeks of challenges to be the winner of the season. Bruno Feldeisen and Kyla Kennaley have returned as the judges for the seventh, with Ann Pornel and Alane Shane Lewis as the hosts.
