As mentioned above, Yamaguchi Kun Isn’t So Bad is one of the cutest shoujo manga. Fans are eagerly waiting for the release of new chapters of this manga. The manga was started in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Friend manga in 2019.
The seventh volume of the manga was published in June 2022 and that is the same time when the author stopped writing to give birth. The hiatus was broken in July 2023 when the manga returned.
The December issue of the Bessatsu Friend magazine announced the change in the schedule of the release of new chapters for Yamaguchi Kun Isn’t So Bad Manga. It was announced that the manga chapters will be released every other month, or bi-monthly. This will take place from the February issue till the August issue. This means it will take place over the course of seven months.
Despite this slightly disappointing and saddening news, fans are still excited about the new chapters. They wish to see more of the characters of the manga and wish to see the chemistry between them explored further.
The manga follows the story of Shinohara Satsuki who just entered high school. Shinohara was traveling to her school where she was being harrassed by someone. However, she was saved by someone.
The person who saved her was none other than Yamaguchi Asuka, the most feared boy in her school. There were rumours surrounding Yamaguchi and some even believed that he was part of the Yakuza.
Shinohara however finds out that he’s the exact opposite and is very kind upon talking to him. The two become friends and gradually start liking each other.
The manga as mentioned above, is fast-paced. The male main character Yamaguchi is a Tsundere, but fans like him a bit more than other Tsunderes. This is because, as opposed to the traditional Tsunderes who are rude and defensive to the love interest for no reason, Yamaguchi is very kind and patient.
In addition to that, the romantic and cute moments between Shinohara and Yamaguchi don’t feel forced or unrealistic. According to most fans, the manga has realistic moments which makes it easier for the people to connect with the story and the characters.
Fans genuinely enjoy the manga and even though a love triangle happened later on in the story, the main characters did not break up or fight unnecessarily. This is another thing that the fans love about this manga.
Fans truly enjoy and love the chapters. The characters of course are another thing that the fans enjoy. The communication between the two main characters, the side characters, the plot, as well as the writing style are the things that make this manga unique and amazing.
Fans are eagerly waiting for new chapters to be released. They are slightly disappointed that the manga chapters will only be released once every two months, but the excitement and anticipation of seeing new moments between Shinohara and Yamaguchi trump the disappointment.
