Zac Brown, the Grammy-winning country singer, has filed a lawsuit against his estranged wife, Kelly Yazdi, demanding the removal of an Instagram post that he claims violates a confidentiality agreement.
He is seeking an emergency temporary restraining order to compel her to take down the post.
Zac Brown’s lawsuit against his estranged wife, Kelly Yazdi, also requests the court to prevent her from making defamatory statements about him, his family, and his bandmates.
The lawsuit, filed in Georgia, does not specify the exact Instagram post in question. Kelly Yazdi, identified as Brown’s wife and a former employee of his company, has not yet responded to requests for comment on the lawsuit.
In a statement, Brown said,
“I took the steps necessary to enforce an agreement between us to maintain personal and business affairs in confidence and to protect my family from online harassment and speculation.”
He added that his “only hope is for us to keep private matters private and to move forward with the mutual respect we had agreed to show one another when we parted ways.”
Zac Brown is renowned as the co-founder and lead singer of the Zac Brown Band, which has garnered three Grammy Awards under his leadership.
Notably, the band received the accolade for Best New Artist in 2010 and Best Country Album in 2013.
It seems like Kelly Yazdi has a diverse professional background, including acting, modeling, and hunting. Her credits include the movie “The Beautiful Ones” and an episode of “Hawaii Five-0.”
Brown and Yazdi got engaged in 2022 and married in Georgia last August, but they announced their split four months later.
Prior to Yazdi, Brown was married to Shelly Brown, a jewelry designer, with whom he shares five children.
