Do not look beyond the Knights of the Zodiac, the new Saint Seiya live-action remake, if you like dwelling in a world of mystical powers, epic battles, and larger-than-life heroes. This anime series takes you on a wild ride through the cosmos, where a group of fierce warriors known as saints battles it out for the fate of the universe.
Knights of the Zodiac is going to take the world by storm once again with the release of its live-action movie based on the classic anime series “Saint Seiya”. This whole new take on the manga brings the beloved character and epic battles to life in stunning details and cutting-edge special effects.
It is important to mind that this film will not be an exact adaptation of the manga from the 1980s. The new adaptation is not going to keep the plot details intact as in the source material, which can change the story in substantial ways. The franchise’s future will be guaranteed and will gain a massive following in the US if the movie proves intriguing enough to draw viewership. Of course, that all depends on how well the live-action movie holds up the story.

According to Hollywood Reporter, Mackenyu is playing the franchise’s central character Seiya, a street orphan, in what is being touted as an original narrative. Seiya sets on a quest to conquer the Pegasus armor of ancient Greece after the mysterious force known as Cosmo arises within him. He also seeks to choose his side in a supernatural battle for the fate of Sienna, a young girl who struggles to control her heavenly abilities.
Bean portrays the character of Alman Kido, Seiya’s mentor, who enlists Seiya in the knight’s organization that he formed after the goddess reincarnation. To slay the vulnerable goddess Tinoco is hired.
Key changes to appear in Knights of the Zodiac adaptation
To be clear-cut, not all the materials in this movie will be taken from the source manga. The 2019’s first season of the Knights of the Zodiac: Saint Seiya will serve as the basis of the new adaptation plotline. This new Netflix adaptation will include major deviations and new characters like Andromeda Shun’s gender swap and Seiya’s altered new background.
Possibly the largest change is that the Black Saints and Phoenix Nero are Netflix original Vander Guraad, who seeks to end gods domination of the world pt humanity’s fate into its control. Many fans think it would have been better to stay loyal to the original line, but these artistic alterations were probably taken to make the anime more approachable to general viewers.
