This film is the second part of the two-part anime film project, which animates the “Shadow Galactica” arc from the original Sailor Moon manga by Naoko Takeuchi. Cosmos the Movie achieved a respectable opening weekend ranking at #9. The film earned a box office revenue of 75,698,090 Yen (around $523,700). The first film of the duo was released on June 9.

Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out is the first of two sequel anime films based on Hajime Kamoshida’s Seishun Buta Yarō light novel series. Since its release, it dropped in rankings from #4 to #10 in its second weekend at the Japanese box office.
In the first three days, the film earned 75,648,924 Yen (around $1.28 million) and sold 118,108 tickets.
The U.S. premiere of the film took place at Anime Expo on July 3, 6:30 p.m. PDT (7:00 p.m. IST). Other films that stayed in the Top 10 at the Japanese Box Office for over five days include Super Mario Bro. the Movie and IDOLiSH 7 Live 4bit BEYOND THE PERiOD.
