The Plot and Cast
Intriguingly enough, the newly hired maid, Lilith, seems too perfect to be real. Her exceptional charms turn a grey and mundane day into an extraordinary one; each meal she prepares is an absolute treat for the taste buds, the mansion radiates an enchanting aura after her touch, and even the laundry smells so nice after she’s done with it.
Yuuri, the young master of the house, cannot help but wonder if there’s more to Lilith than meets the eye, and her alluring gaze only makes it more suspicious, leading him to question whether she is a witch or a sorcerer. But he can’t do anything but live with her as he tries to figure out what’s happening.
The cast includes Saori Hayami voicing Yuuri, the male lead character in the series. Lilith is hired to take care of Yuuri after he lost his parents in an accident. He falls for Lilith and thinks of his attraction to her as “suspicious” and “otherworldly.”
Rie Takahashi voices Lilith, the female lead character in the series. As she knew Yuuri’s parents, she left her previous job to take care of Yuuri after the accident. A teenager, she often teases Yuuri to embarrass him but ends up embarrassing herself.
The supporting cast includes Yui Horie voicing Tsukasa Gojouin, Mikako Komatsu voicing Fujisaki and Miyu Tomita voicing Natsume Nakashima.
The Maid I Hired Recently Is Mysterious anime series received not very great scores on My Anime List, with most of the reviews speaking of mixed feelings. The series falls into the ‘teasing’ sub-genre, attempting to replicate successful works in the same genre but ultimately failing due to the absence of a new take and creativity. What do you think of the series?
