Always is a South Korean movie released in 2011. Its Director is Song Il-gon and the film stars So Ji-sub and Gan Hya-joo. This film depicts the emotional romantic story of a guy who is a boxer and does not open up to anyone and finds relationships a burden. One day he met a girl who is always cheerful despite going blind and works as a telemarketer.
The movie premiered in theatres on 20th October 2011. It was also released at the Busan International Film Festival of the year 2011 as the opening film because of its success. During its release period, the film had a total of 1,027,614 admissions nationwide in South Korea. And its online ticket for outdoor movie theatres sells out 2000 seats in a record seven seconds.

He is a South Korean actor born on the 4th of November, 1977, and made his debut in the entertainment industry as a jeans model. So Ji-sub’s well known for his works in the drama series What happened in Bali in 2004, Phantom of 2012, Master’s Sun of 2013, and Oh my Venus of 2015-2016. He is also famous for his hip-hop EPs.

Han Hyo-joo, a South Korean actress, model, and singer who works in cinema and television, was born on February 22, 1987. She is best known for her leading roles in the television series Heaven & Earth (2007), Brilliant Legacy (2009), Dong Yi (2010), and Happiness She is best known for her leading roles in the television series Heaven & Earth (2007), Brilliant Legacy (2009), Dong Yi (2010), and Happiness (2021).
She also stars in the films Masquerade (2012), one of the highest-grossing Korean films of all time, Cold Eyes (2013), for which she received the Best Actress award, and Love 911 (2022).
Plot
It has an emotional and heart-breaking storyline. The film starts with a man having multiple jobs to meet his ends. He was a boxer before his prison life of 4.5 years. This all happened because of a misunderstanding, as after the end of his boxing career, he worked as a debt collector and beat up those who were not able to pay it back. And during one of his collection, the person he was supposed to beat up set himself on fire because of his desperation. Thus he was arrested by the police and charged with attempting murder.
He had just started to work as a Parking attendant having might shifts, where he met a woman named Jung Hwa. She enjoys watching television shows and dramas with the previous attendant, who was elderly. Even though she was blind, she really appreciated the drama as the elderly man was describing the scenes to her while watching. It was like a daily routine for them to come together at night to have snacks and watch T.V.
Further Plot of Always
Because of her cheerful personality, Chul Min started to warm up to the world, and slowly, his perspective started to change. With time their bond started to get stronger, and it steadily transformed to love, and Chul Min decided to become a better man for her sake. One day an incident happened where Jung Hwa was assaulted by her boss, and Chul Min came to her rescue. But she stopped him from beating up her boss because of the fear of getting fired. As it’s really difficult to find a job for a disabled person and especially in South Korea, it’s probably impossible.
In order to give Jung Hwa an opportunity to get back her sight, he tried to sign up for a match for thirty thousand dollars. Chul Min also thought that as he was indirectly involved in the accident of Jung Hwa’s parents, he should be responsible for her happiness. He won that match but was severely injured by the people who were against his winning. Meanwhile, Jung Hwa started her sculpting career and decided to make her living by this job. For two years, the couple didn’t get to meet, but one day they got reunited, and unfortunately, Jung Hwa was not able to recognize Chul Min although her dog did.
Always: Ending Explained
As mentioned in the plot that at their reunion, Jung Hwa was not able to recognize Chul min even though her dog was sure. Disappointed, Chul min decided to depart quietly without interfering with her new life after that scene without saying anything. For us fans, that was the most tragic moment, and it turned out incredibly beautiful.
When she returned to work, her new manager informed her that a guy with crutches had visited their store and bought night Jasmine, which is associated with their fond memories of one another. She realized that by failing to recognize her Lover just now, she had made a serious error. In order to avoid losing him forever, Jung Hwa made the decision to pursue him.
We can sense the actress’s sorrow and suffering as she sobs, and she does a terrific job portraying this heartbreaking scenario. Finally, she was able to locate him by recalling the location from their recollections. He let the turtle out of the bottle while he was present there. Then he realizes that Hung Hwa had located him, and thus their own happy ending had occurred.
