The couple hosted the event at Detroit’s Oak & Reel restaurant, inviting family and friends to join them in celebrating their love ahead of their upcoming wedding.
Before the engagement party’s details were fully revealed, Thurston, 33, sparked speculation by sharing two intriguing photos on her Instagram Story.
The first image showcased a sleek black welcome sign adorned with the words, “We’re so glad you’re here. Celebrating the love of Jeff + Katie,” beneath a vibrant floral arch.
The second post featured Thurston planting a kiss on Arcuri’s cheek as the pair posed in elegant wedding white outfits. The photo, captioned “Did we just get married?” and tagged with Arcuri’s account, had fans buzzing about whether they had tied the knot.
Petal and Grain Designs, the creators of the decorative sign in Thurston’s post, soon clarified the mystery.
In an Instagram Story, the company shared the same image and wrote, “So excited to work with @thekatiethurston for her and @jarcuri engagement party ,” confirming the event’s purpose.
Thurston later shared more snapshots from the celebration on her Instagram account, captioning the post, “About last night .” The collection of photos included moments with their loved ones, highlighting the joy of the evening.
For the occasion, Thurston wore a stunning short, white sheer dress with sequin embellishments, paired with a statement white hair bow.
The following day, she shared details about her outfit, linking to the Revolve dress and revealing she had purchased it from Nordstrom at a 50% discount. She noted that the dress, available in a size medium, also came in multiple colors.
Arcuri proposed to Thurston earlier this year, and the couple announced their engagement on Instagram on September 15.
Alongside a series of romantic photos, Thurston captioned the post, “When you know, you know .” The carousel concluded with a video capturing the exact moment Arcuri popped the question during a beachside proposal.
The pair’s love story first went public in June when Thurston posted a sweet photo of the couple kissing, making their relationship Instagram official.
