What happened in the previous episodes?
Lucy begins college and quickly finds herself in the same social group as Steven, Pippa, Bree, Wrigley, Diana, and many more. In a vehicle accident, Lucy’s roommate, Maisie, is killed in a vehicle. And when the accident occurred, Steven and Wrigley’s buddy, Drew, were present. He fled the scene since he was drunk and using a false ID.
Diana and Stephen are having sex in the first episode of Tell Me Lies when she orders Stephen to stop. Wrigley phones Stephen and wants him to come over right away when she departs, leaving him alone and about to masturbate. Drew, their friend, is upset and admits that he “really messed up.” We don’t see the following exchange, but are we correct in assuming it has anything to do with Maisie’s death? A past scene was also included in episode 1, where Lucy attends Bree’s wedding in 2015 and bumps into Stephen, with whom she appears to have lost contact for some time.
Episode 3
Lucy is awakened in bed with the cute guy. He wants to take her out to supper, and Lucy responds with a yes. Wrigley has completed his treaded test, which he believes went well. Stephen discovers that Diana has been hired as a research assistant, a position that he coveted. Stephen confronts Diana, accusing her of applying for the job only to spite him. Nonetheless, he has sex with Diana. They awaken in bed, which Diana refers to as a sick cycle. She tells him that she respects herself too much to allow him to disrespect her openly. He thinks she is unable to let go of the past.
Despite understanding the truth about Maisie’s crash, Pippa informs Wrigley that she will not be leaving. Diana contacts Stephen and tells him he’s correct because she’s not letting things go. But, even if they’re not back together, she wants to hang out with him. Stephen stalks Lucy and Diana on social media in the third episode of Tell Me Lies.
