The official Twitter account of Shogakukan’s Gagaga Bunko imprint revealed that the light novel series “Henjin no Salad Bowl” (A Salad Bowl of Eccentrics) written by Yomi Hirasaka and illustrated by Kantoku would be adapted into a television anime. To commemorate the announcement as well as the birthday of the character Sara on July 6, Kantoku created a special visual.
If you enjoy comedy and are fond of series like “Karakai Jozu No Takagi-San” ( Slice of Life) or “Saekano: How To Raise A Boring Girlfriend,” then you might find “Henjin no Salad Bowl” appealing. Similar to this series genre-wise, the anime revolves around themes of aliens coming to Earth.
However, this story takes a unique twist by falling under the reverse isekai genre. Instead of a human protagonist being transported to another world, an alone character suddenly appears on earth in some way. At this stage, the manga’s plot does not involve any invasion plot, as it still is in its early stages since its release in 2021.
