Bad Boys 3 has all the hype in the world right now. The crew of the movie Bad Boys 3 is starting filming from Monday in Miami. That means there’s going to be a ton of action-packed scenes in the movie. Hence to be prepared for big action scenes, the crew have requested the authorities to shut down the MacArthur Causeway. Starting this weekend, the highway will be shut down.
The makers have filed film permits with the City of Miami. The crew will be working at Jose Marti Park in Little Havana from Monday onwards. Filming will take place in the gym, the pool area, and the dance room. This City of Miami permit talks about some of the scenes that will include “simulated gunfire and gunshot wounds.”
Not just the causeway, but several streets around the park area are shut down. The closures mentioned in the permit are SW 5th Street between 4th and 3rd Avenues and SW 3rd Avenue between 6th and 5th Streets. This means a major traffic headache for travelers headed to or from Miami Beach.
On Sunday, April 14 between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m the westbound lanes of the McArthur Causeway will be shut. Additionally, there will be intermittent closures on the eastbound lanes. A specific set of instructions have been included for motorists, they are being asked to use the Venetian Causeway or the Julia Tuttle Causeway to avoid any hassle and to get between the mainland and Miami Beach during this time.
This, however, isn’t the first time that the causeway is shut. This is the second time the filming of a ‘Bad Boys’ movie will shut down the MacArthur Causeway. Bad Boys will be out 17 January 2020.
